ABOUT US

Founded in

1992

SCANTECH was the first company to develop low-energy X-ray technology for the measurement of thickness and basis weight (gsm) of film and sheet. Today our system installations help our customers maintain and improve product quality, optimise process efficiency and maintain a competitive edge.

SCANTECH
manufactures and supplies

online measurement and control systems for a wide range of industrial applications: including

• EXTRUSION (biax, cast, sheet, blown)
• ENERGY materials (battery electrodes and catalyst coated membranes for the hydrogen industry)
• CONVERTING (coating, extrusion coating & lamination, composite materials)
• TEXTILES & NONWOVENS and
• METALS.

With a strong focus and investment in R&D

backed by a multi-disciplined team of engineers and scientists at SCANTECH headquarters in France, we strive to continuously expand our solutions to maintain our leadership position in innovation and performance. Our expertise in hardware, software and application engineering enables us to deliver maximum system uptime, lowest cost of ownership and fast ROI.

Each new SCANTECH sensor development remains true to our core principle of rejecting the use of nucleonic technologies. Instead, we have developed technologies that obviate the need to use beta or gamma rays, thus avoiding the problems associated with half-life deterioration, end-of-life disposal costs, as well as the need for qualified safety personnel.

Our measurements are robust, accurate and repeatable while our responsive Automatic Profile Control (APC) delivers best product, within specification, roll after roll.

Complimenting the sensor technologies, SCANTECH scanning frames deliver application- and process-matched solutions. From narrow pilot lines to the widest biax film extrusion lines, our scanners provide a perfect fit for every process; while the user-configurable HMI ensures deepest process insight for operators and managers, with extensive data management capabilities.

A GLOBAL PRESENCE
SCANTECH has established subsidiaries in China, the USA, Germany, Italy, South Korea, India, Malaysia, and Taiwan.

Each SCANTECH subsidiary provides comprehensive local support, commissioning, spare parts and maintenance services - and many feature a showroom. With multiple assembly facilities around the world, we ensure the same high-quality products and reliable delivery for every customer.
